Norfolk
We are the Norfolk branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England. We work to protect the beauty, diversity and tranquillity of the Norfolk countryside and coastline. We care deeply about the future of rural landscapes in Norfolk and the quality of life for its inhabitants.
We have over 1000 members, 5 district groups and a county office in Norwich. Although we work closely with the national body of CPRE, we are an independent charity in our own right with our own constitution and governing committee. Our members and volunteers come from all over the county and give us a strong local voice in every district.
CPRE Norfolk is supported by its individual members, affiliated Amenity Societies, Parish and Town Councils and the generosity of donors. Founded in 1933, we are one of the longest running environmental groups
Our concerns are truly Norfolk; whether we are arguing for the appropriate siting of wind turbines, protecting areas like the Broads from intrusive development or promoting the landscape character of the Brecks, we have the Norfolk countryside and its people at our heart.
Our President: is: Professor Tim O'Riordan
Our Chairman is : Greg Peck
