Norfolk LightWatch
CPRE Norfolk believe that poorly fitted, overbright and intrusive lighting can harm the quality of our lives, as well as contributing to sky glow and light pollution. We are committed to raising awareness of the issue and campaigning for better lighting controls.
Although local authorities currently have little power over light polluters, they can act on complaints and ask developers, landlords or owners, to address lighting problems.
Use Norfolk LightWatch to report incidents of intrusive light pollution in Norfolk and we will bring the matter to the attention of the district council that oversees the property. Your name will be kept confidential. However, we will write to you, to acknowledge receipt of your complaint. We also urge you to contact your district council separately about the matter.
CPRE Norfolk meet regularly with individuals interested in the subject of light pollution. If you would like to attend a campaign meeting or are interested in our work, then please contact us.
Norfolk LightWatch is supported by Norwich Astronomical Society.
