CPRE Norfolk celebrates 75 years of campaigning
An evening of heritage and theatre, wine and canapés will be held at Wolterton Hall on Sunday September 7th to celebrate CPRE Norfolk’s 75th anniversary.  The event will include personal guided tours of Wolterton Hall by Lord and Lady Walpole, and a one-woman performance by Norfolk-born Radio 4 actress Patience Tomlinson.  Patience will be exploring the work of Mary Mann, a Victorian writer who is considered to be Norfolk's equivalent of Thomas Hardy.  Tickets for the event cost £18 and are available from the Mannington Hall Ticket Office, tel: 01263 768444/584175.  Wine for the evening is kindly provided by Roger Harris Wines.
Green Buildings Open Days
CPRE Norfolk’s sell-out event will be repeated in 2008, taking place from Thursday September 11th – Sunday September 14th. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand about sustainable building design and renewable energy technologies by taking part in guided tours with the owners, architects and builders of some of Norfolk's most eco-friendly buildings. Bookings are now being taken by the Energy Saving Trust on 01733 566910. For more details download the Open Days brochure

Green Buildings in Norfolk - exhibition for hire
CPRE Norfolk has an exhibition featuring 21 examples of buildings in Norfolk pioneering the use of renewable energy.  The exhibition is being used by community groups throughout Norfolk at village open days, planning seminars, climate change fairs and environment weeks.  The exhibition consists of six banner stands, approximately 2ft wide and 6ft high, and a small table of booklets and leaflets.  It is free for groups to collect, use and return.  If you are interested, please contact Katy Jones (Membership and Events Manager) on 01603 761660.
If you are interested in Green Buildings, you will also be interested in Green Build! Organised by North Norfolk District Council. Green Build 08 is the only 'green' building event in East Anglia to look at both the principle and practice of sustainable construction and how to adopt an environmentally-friendly lifestyle.
The event, now in its fourth year, is taking place at Felbrigg Park, near Cromer on the North Norfolk coast, on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September, 10.30am - 4pm on both days and entry is free! For more information, view the Green Build 08 website on http://www.northnorfolk.org/greenbuild/
