Norfolk
Our volunteers come from all walks of life, with all kinds of different skills and interests and are spread throughout the county.
There are many ways in which people can get involved. Volunteers can join their local district committee of the CPRE Norfolk and there meet other campaigners working to protect their local environment and communities. Committees meet approximately once every two months. If there is sufficient interest, a volunteer may like to undertake casework and review local planning applications - training can be provided to facilitate this.
Volunteers may also like to get involved in our current campaigning activities on a county level - for example join campaign groups on such issues as landscape, housing or dark skies. These groups also meet once every couple of months. Again, where there is greater interest, there are opportunities to pursue issues on an ongoing basis or to 'champion' the campaign.
There are also opportunities to help in areas such as administration, planning events, fundraising or publicity work. See the links on the left for our current volunteering opportunities.
We are always very happy to welcome new volunteers into our organisation. An induction will be given locally and also nationally if desired, and there will be plenty of opportunity to meet other volunteers and get to know our work. If you value your Norfolk countryside and are interested in donating some time to work towards its protection, then please contact us.
The Campaign to Protect Rural England exists to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of rural England by encouraging the sustainable use of land and other natural resources in town and country.
