Every year, Norfolk Coast Protected Landscape hosts the Dark Skies Festival – a series of free events from October to March helping you to experience the night skies of our coast like never before.

Immerse yourself in traditional coastal culture, discover the wildlife that comes out after dark, learn about the impacts of light pollution on our coast and find out how we can all play a part in protecting our dark skies.

Please arrive from 18:15 for hot drinks and cake.

We will hear a talk by Neil Philipson from Outsideology about A tour of the night’s sky, listen to local folklore from Suzanne Arnold, learn more about the impacts of light pollution from David Hook, lead trustee on dark skies at CPRE Norfolk, and have an opportunity to take part in some Stargazing (weather permitting). Not to mention delving into the world of insects at night with the Butterfly Conservation Trust.

The event will end by approximately 21:00.

Parking is available on site with toilet facilities are available in the hall.

Please bring appropriate warm clothing and footwear for varied weather conditions.
