Your invitation to the Getting Solar OFF The Land Exhibition

20th October 2025

We’re delighted to invite you to The Getting Solar OFF The Land Exhibition, a public event exploring the growing scale of industrial solar development across Norfolk – and the smarter, fairer alternatives for achieving Net Zero.

Across our county, tens of thousands of acres of farmland are now being considered for ground-mounted solar farms, including several Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).

These schemes would industrialise Norfolk’s countryside for generations.

This exhibition brings the issue to life with:
  • Interactive maps showing the true scale of proposed developments
  • Local case studies from campaign groups across Norfolk
  • Research from SolarQ and CPRE revealing how Net Zero can be achieved through rooftop, car park and brownfield solar
  • Video presentations by: Professor David Rogers (SolarQ), and CPRE Norfolk visualising what mega solar could mean for Norfolk’s landscapes

You’ll also have the chance to meet local campaign groups, discover how communities are working together to oppose mega solar and champion Renewables Done Well, and share your own views on the future of Norfolk’s countryside.
