Join us for the Centenary celebrations at Diss Museum
Join us in celebrating 100 years of countryside care
To mark a century of championing Norfolk’s countryside, CPRE Norfolk warmly invites supporters, members and the local community to the opening of our special Centenary Exhibition at Diss Museum on 14 March 2026.
Parade and presentations
The day will begin with a small celebratory parade starting at Mere’s Mouth at 10:30am, making its way through the town to the museum for an 11:00am gathering.
At the museum, trustees from CPRE Norfolk will present certificates of recognition to local environmental volunteer groups, celebrating some of the local people who work so hard to protect and care for Norfolk’s landscapes and wildlife.
It promises to be a warm and uplifting moment that reflects the spirit of the countryside we all value.
Adding to the occasion, songs will be performed by Gislingham Variety Club, bringing a festive note to the opening of the exhibition.
The Centenary Exhibition

The exhibition at the museum explores CPRE & CPRE Norfolk’s origin stories, its major achievements over the last 100 years and looks at some of the major challenges still facing the countryside. Once opened, the exhibition will be available to visit throughout the 2026 season until October.
Whether you are a long-time supporter or simply love Norfolk’s landscapes, we would be delighted if you joined us to begin this special year.
