From Field to Fork: Norwich – Mapping the local food web

From field to fork Norwich

A food web is a local network of links between people who buy, sell, produce and supply food. A thriving local food chain can benefit the quality of life, prosperity and landscape of an area. Local food economies and independent retailing are under threat from supermarket expansion and increasingly centralised supply chains.

The research concluded that we urgently need to nurture food webs so they can thrive and resist the pressures which could undermine their benefits.

This report on Norwich is part of a wider national project, Mapping Local Food Webs.
