Research, policy and public engagement by CPRE Norfolk.

CPRE Norfolk has taken a proactive, evidence-based role in leading opposition to mega solar proposals while championing better alternatives.

Our recent work includes

  • Commissioning independent research with SolarQ and CPRE national to quantify rooftop and brownfield potential.
  • Developing county-wide mapping of solar, wind, and grid infrastructure to show the scale of change.
  • Submitting formal planning representations for each NSIP solar proposal.
  • Running public events like this exhibition to share facts and solutions with councillors, MPs and the public.
  • Coordinating press and broadcast coverage with BBC, ITV Anglia and local media to raise awareness.

Why it matters

This is not about stopping progress, it’s about ensuring progress is fair, sustainable and strategic.

By presenting balanced research and constructive alternatives, CPRE Norfolk is helping shape national thinking on land use and renewables.
